Experience
Mr. Fierro co-founded BFP Engineers, Inc. in 2006, bringing both seismic related and forensic expertise to the firm.
He has significant expertise in construction litigation, litigation support, and expert testimony including testimony before the London Court of International Arbitration.
He has performed seismic analysis and design, seismic hazard evaluations, post-earthquake damage assessments, and has designed strengthening schemes for numerous public and private clients. These projects have involved various types of structures, including new and existing buildings, bridges, wharves, nuclear facilities, thermo-electric power plants, equipment, piping, tanks, nonstructural elements of buildings, and an observatory dome.
He has been responsible for both the technical aspects and management of numerous projects.
Mr. Fierro has 42 years of prior experience in seismic analysis and design and 15 year of litigation experience.
He was formerly with the San Francisco Bay Area offices of URS/John A. Blume & Associates, Engineers; Dames & Moore, Inc.; and Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.
